Dear Jennie and Family,
Our fond memories of Al and the precious times we spent together both on and off the golf course, will be with us forever. A friendship with Al Cerone can be counted as one of life's treasures. We have missed you both. Our time together now seems so painfully brief. Please know that you have always remained in our heart.
With Love and sorrow,
Bill and Nancy Oldfield

I remember all the times Don brought us frat boys over for dinner and bocci ball and how gently Mr. Cerone laughed at us. We always felt welcome there, it was a warm and happy place, and the food was the best you could get! I'll never forget it. I remember one time Carl Bellucci and I stole some tags off of Mr. Cerone's golf bag and used them to sneak onto a fancy golf course. We got caught. But the guy read the tags and said, "Oh, you're friends of Al Cerone? Well you can play all you want!" That's how beloved Mr. Cerone was wherever he went. I'm thinking of all you Cerones in this sad time. But most of all, I'm thinking of you, Mrs. Cerone. I have not talked to you in years, but I always ask about you when I talk to Don. You are one of the dearest women I have met in my life. Thank you for all the dinners you cooked for us and the wonderful taste of homelife you gave all us when we were in school. I hope somewhere, somehow in the sadness of this time, you can find a way to celebrate what a truly wonderful husband, father and friend Mr. Cerone was. I will never forget him and I will never forget you. Love, Steve Ebling

Don, I know it's been many years since high school ...none the less, I am very sorry to learn of your loss. What a blessing to have had both your parents with you for so many years. You and your family will be in my prayers. May God Bless and comfort you during this season of sadness. Laurie

Dear Cousin Jennie, This is the time in life when words can do little to comfort you. I was shocked to hear of Al's death from my Uncle Art Bruno. He is Mom's brother little brother living in Rochester. He and Aunt Connie send their love. Most of my memories of Al and you are as kids. We use to come over your house in the "big city" for special occasions. Usually there was a birthday or some special holiday event. Al was there to greet us at the door. You were second as the hug-giver of the family. In the door trooped little Dan, Ricky and myself, little Joe. Of course there were big hugs for Mom and Dad. When we came in the living room there was my cousin Rosemary and if we were very lucky there was your Dad,Uncle Dominik and Aunt Mary! It wouldn't be long until Al asked Rosemary to play her accordion. with a little reluctance she would blush and play a tune your Dad liked. I have carried those times frozen in memory;...those were happy times. You and Al always made use welcome in your home...and sometimes we hated to leave to go back to Sodus. If you believe as I do, Al is being welcomed by the rest of our family and friends who went before us. Jennie, even though I write this message form a little seaside cottage on the Gulf of Mexico in Texas, I see you and Al as if you were standing in front of me. I say goodbye to Al for now and my heart goes out to you and your children. Please give my best wishes to Rosemary and her husband. With much love, Joe Cocca (Little Joe)
