Obituary of Carrie Polito

Polito, Carrie (Sicurella) Irondequoit: Peacefully on October 1, 2009, at age 97 years, 10 months. Predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Calogera Sicurella. Her late former husband Anthony (Nene) Polito, her son Salvatore T. Polito, her great-grandson, Brandon N. Polito, her sisters, Josephine (Biondolillo) Barca (Mt. Morris, NY), Mary D'Angelo (Cleveland, Ohio), Mary Mancuso (Rochester, NY), her dear friends, Francesco and Raffaella D'Aries and Mario and Amalia Grimaldi and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Anthony (Joann D'Aries) Polito. Two grandsons, Anthony (Nicole Montgomery) Polito and Frank (Christa Lusardi) Polito. Her great-grandchildren, Joshua and Anthony Polito, Brittney Montgomery, Frankie and Alyssa Polito. Several nieces and nephews, great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews. She was a retiree of Shuron-Textron Optical Co. after 30 years of service. Family and friends may call 3-8 P.M. Monday at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 North Goodman St. Funeral, Tuesday from the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. at Church of Christ the King, 445 Kings Highway South. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Many special thanks to the administration, staff supervisors, nurses, and aides at Hill Haven Nursing Home in SF1 for her wonderful care during her stay since 2004. For her Social Worker Mary Kay Neary for her understanding, her roommate Mildred Fedigan for her tenderness and companionship and Lucy Brucato for her compassion.
