As I did a google search on my uncle Wayne today - with his surviving sister (my mother) Cynthia Nellis standing behind me watching over my shoulder - we were so sad to come across his obituary. We had been hoping to find a home address. My mother and I have talked about her brother frequently over the years; she was (and remains) so sad to have lost touch with him. I have very fond memories of my Uncle Wayne, even including the time he took a group of us fishing and I got a hook stuck in my thumb (that he had to pull out, couldn't have been easy dealing with a hysterical little girl at that point, but he did! And I was fine.) All the best to his family, my cousins, I remember you all even though it's been such a long time. My sister Ruthie has seven children, Laurel has three, and I have one, my little boy Jack. We think of you and of all of our times in Rochester very fondly - they are some of my happiest childhood memories. All the best - Alicia (Maloney) Schisler

Nancy , We are so sad by the loss of our long time friend Wayne. We go back over sixty years of memories and will treasure each one of them. Many good times were enjoyed by our gang especially, those weekend specials at the lake house. Wayne was a generous and loving friend, and a great host who was especially kind to all our kids as they grew up. He was a terrible card player, or was that just because it was the wee hours of the morning and he rather go to bed. "Alone" My favorite memory is when Wayne realized he was not in bed with Nancy and jumped out so quickly. We think he had too much "ruberry pie". We could go on endlessly with happy memories of our friendship. Remember, we are here to support you and continue to offer our friendship. May the Lord take Wayne under his wing and give him the position of supervisor of his gardens.
