What do you say to someone when you know that their hearts are hurting right now? Last year my husband was diagnosed with the same kind of cancer, the same time that Meaghan was. I heard of it through Matt Pfeffer, where I work. My hubby constantly asked about her prognosis, etc., even as his journey was winding down. Although I have never met either Meaghan or her husband and children, please know that my family extends our sympathies and understanding of what you are going through at this time. We have followed her journey too, knowing how tough, how tender, how special and how defeating it can be, through Meaghan's website. Our hearts go out to you as you now must take the negative of losing someone so very special, and turn it around and make it positive in the months ahead. Someone told me that last year when my hubby's journey ended at a young age too, and I thought, "yeah, right..." And as each month went on and I looked at pictures of him, they went from negative energy of "why me?" to a smile everytime I see them, whether it be in pictures or videos. Now I smile, knowing what a special person he was to us, knowing how he touched our hearts and knowing that I wouldn't have changed a thing about him. Please know that Meaghan is no longer in pain, although you are feeling it now. I promise, time really does heal things. Take each day and turn her memories into the glue that holds that hole in your heart together. And know that God just has one more rose in his garden because of Meaghan. God Bless you all.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Meaghan's family. I met Meaghan two years ago when her children started attending my school and despite all of the pain that she was experiencing, she never failed to ask about my rheumatoid arthritis. Meaghan's beautiful children mean very much to me...Mia frequently comes to visit my classroom to chat and Michael will be in my first grade class this year. I will always remember Meaghan for her strength and know that she will be an angel looking out for all of us.
