We met Fran at our neighborhood swimming club. She was great with our son Zane who was 4yrs. old at the time. What started out as just a "hey" at the pool turned into so much more! She called us her adoptive mom and dad. We loved it! She would come to us for advice and Josh was VERY protective! ;o) One of the most fun nights I remember was at our house we had a cookout and Fran made her famous corn salsa! OMGosh, it is SOOOO yummy!! We played games with the cul de sac neighbors all night! Fran's favorite was Apples to Apples and we LAUGHED ALL NIGHT LONG!!! She was ALWAYS laughing and smiling! My other "story" is the day she came over to color my hair. That was SO MUCH FUN! She was such a perfectionist! And we laughed and had a blast! We did our makeup and talked and laughed and were just GIRLS for the afternoon! I loved it and I love you Fran! Will miss you dearly!

When I think about Fran, the first thing that comes to my mind is how lively and energetic she was. Even when something was bothering her, she would smile and keep a positive attitude. I first met her at the gym in Raleigh. Our relationship began as workout partners and grew into a friendship. She claimed me as her adoptive "sis", introduced me to jello shots, and didn't hesitate to tell me when my hair was in desperate need of attention! Her vivacious personality stood out every time she entered a room and not only will she be deeply missed, but she will also be forever remembered for her strength and courage.
