Obituary of Samuel Gillio

Gillio, Samuel C. "Sam" Brighton Born in Churchville, NY on March 1, 1918 and died on Friday, October 14, 2011. He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Evelyn (Carreo); 3 brothers; and 4 sisters. He leaves his beloved wife of 21 years, Grace (Polizzi) (LaRosa). Also survived by his son, Jim (KC) Gillio of Penfield; daughter, Peg (Dick) Bus of Allentown, PA; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Sam was a veteran of WWII in the Pacific Theater. He was a manager of Star Supermarkets for 30 years. Sam enjoyed being with family, working on projects to share with family and friends. Sam will be missed by all. Calling Sunday, October 16, from 2-6 PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 North Goodman St. On Monday, please meet the family at St. John The Evangelist Church, 549 Humboldt St., for his Funeral Mass at 10 AM.
