Obituary of Charles Fornataro

Charles Pasquale Fornataro, 90, passed away on Thursday July 23, 2026 at Canandaigua VA Hospital.

Charles also known as Charlie to family and friends,  was born August 29th, 1935 to Charles and Ida Fornataro  in Rochester NY. He was one of four sons. Charlie served in the Navy from 1953 - 1956 and was a strong advocate and supporter of Veterans of all services.

Charlie is survived by his dedicated and loving companion Debra Lowry, his daughters Tina Londerville (Steve) and Charlene Desens (Scott), grandchildren Linzi Paxton (Josh), Steven Londerville (Naomi), and Zachary Desens, as well as Great Grandsons Cyler Churchill and Merick Paxton.  He is also survived by 2 brothers, Patrick (Barb) and Joseph Fornataro, his good buddies Sam Levetro and Doug Wagner, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother Richard and sister-in- law Juanita Fornataro.

The family will be honoring him with a full military burial.

Charlie was the owner of Format Alarms and Planet Investigations.

A huge part of Charlie's life was community involvement. He was a lifetime Shriner Clown division. He was APPLES THE CLOWN a character he loved playing for the children. He was also the owner of APPLE J Concessions and a vendor at the annual Canal days and many other places.

He was part of the security for Camp Good Days, which offers programs for children with cancer or sickle cell anemia or a child who has lost a parent to one of these diseases.

Charlie was a Soap Box Derby guy too. He loved watching the kids race. Car shows Charlie loved them and he also showed many cars.

Charlie loved going to the Casino. When you wanted to find him, he was on the road. 

The family will be receiving callers from 4-7pm on Monday July 27th at Falvo Funeral Home (1295 Fairport Nine-Mile Point Road, Rte. 250) Webster, NY. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 28th at 10:00 am, at the Falvo Funeral Home, followed by a burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester, NY.
